My academic advisor had good news for me today: apparently the balance of opinion about me in the upper academic levels has started to shift slightly in my favour. Finally it's not just a case of me vs. SuperTeacher & the Infallible Supervisor. But while I was pondering this new & strange development (for I feel that it has nothing to do with the real facts of the case, which remain unexamined), I realized that I just may be liable for many breaches of professionalism if this ever goes to a review committee. So I'm pulling every entry that makes a specific (and therefore identifying) comment about practicum. As soon as I pass, they'll go up again.

If you want any dirt - or even pocket lint - while I'm in the school, you'd better sign up for the notify list. I think that private communication is okay, as long as it's not obviously defamatory. Or you could just wait for me to graduate & "fix" all the entries - but personally, I can't imagine anything more boring that skimming 5 weeks of entries for new bitching.

Went out for tea after choir tonight, something I rarely do because I too often have homework that demands my attention on Thursday evenings. It was me and 5 older women, and I liked that just fine. I actually like listening to people talk about the people of their community; not gossip, really, but storytelling, working the social web and making sure all the links in memory are still in place. More than anything, I want my parents to have this kind of network to grow old in. It would be so wonderful if they could shake off the suburban mistrust of close community. Alas.
