I'm in a place in my life where I can't figure out if the constant dizziness comes from an illness or is just the result of a lazy day.

forecast: hazy, with a chance of clearing overnight. poor visibility; stay at home if possible.

In the meantime, here's some art! Russell Smith says that one's experience with art should be unmediated with text or explanation of any kind. Let's test that theory, shall we?

(note of origin: I threw these at my 11's to give obscure Romantic poetry a needed obscure visual dimension. There will be a quiz later.)

This is the "Poison Tree" plate, created by William Blake for the illuminated book "Songs of Innocence and of Experience," and taken locally from the Blake Archive to educate my little 16-year-olds.

And this is "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" by Waterhouse, who I think is a lesser Pre-Raphaelite artist than, say, Rosetti...but this is the guy that gets all the poster deals, so what are you gonna do? (I can't remember where I took it from, for which I'm heartily sorry.)
