"Go lie down, sweetie," he said. "I'll take care of it."

We're having visitors tonight, a social engagement only slightly complicated by the fact that I'm having a migraine attack right now. As we watched "Street Cents" an hour ago, I became fretful & complained that I couldn't see through the reflection of sunlight streaming through our brand new landlord-supplied living room windows (ka-ching!). As the Boy solicitously closed the drapes, I realized that my brain was the problem, not the drawn curtains. Although the screen was now reflection-free, big bands of fuzziness continued to obscure my vision. Oops.

It was very similar to my Edmonton migraine: broad bands of visual impairment that resembled nothing more than teevee snow. I've swallowed 2 xtra-strength aspirin as insurance against the coming headache & nausea, although they're not doing too well right now. Do you think that staring at a computer screen could have a detrimental effect on my brain? Huh? Do ya?

I'm such an idiot.

My first day in training went okay. It would've been a lot better without the constant headache, general lethargy and occasional sharp pains from my abdominal region that made me think that my ovaries were about to secede from the rest of my body. I thought at first that I was having a caffiene headache since I've been off the diet soda for a good 48 hours. Then the abdominal pains came along and I realized, no dice.

I'm going to lie down on the couch.
